Begonia Evening Glow

If you’re after a bold, eye-catching Begonia, ‘Evening Glow’ is the one! Its crimson and grey foliage, streaked with dark veining, gives it a dynamic, almost glowing look—hence the name! Compact and easy to manage, it maxes out around 30cm tall and wide, making it perfect for small spaces.

Where’s it from?

This hybrid cultivar was designed to shine in indoor spaces! While its exact heritage is a mystery, it belongs to the Begonia genus, which includes species from tropical and subtropical regions worldwide.

Watering

Keep the soil consistently moist but never soggy—Begonias like a steady water supply but hate wet feet! Water regularly during the growing season, and don’t let the soil dry out completely between waterings.

Light

Loves bright, indirect light. Too much direct sun? Leaves may scorch. Too little? The colors may lose their vibrancy. An east- or north-facing window is the perfect spot.

Humidity

This one’s a humidity lover! Keep the air around it nice and moist—misting, a humidifier, or even a terrarium setup will keep it happy. Dry air = crispy edges, so keep it away from radiators or heating vents.

Temperature

A big fan of warm, stable temps—18°C to 24°C is ideal. Keep it away from cold drafts and make sure it stays above 15°C to prevent stress.
